SHAHID Afridi, known as "Boom Boom" for his aggressive stroke-play, is likely to bat up the order for Melbourne Renegades in their do-or-die clash with Brisbane Heat at Etihad Stadium.
Former Pakistan captain Afridi, 31, has faced only 21 deliveries for 25 runs in two innings in the Big Bash and, while his bowling has been outstanding, his batting has not been fully utilised.
Afridi has a strike rate of 157.12 in his 101 Twenty20 matches and he will need to be in explosive batting form if the Renegades are to beat Hobart Hurricanes next week in a last ditch bid to make the finals.
"My bowling is fine but I haven't really got any batting. Maybe I will bat up the order," he said yesterday.

The KFC T20 Big Bash League is the Australian domestic Twenty20 cricket tournament. The Victorian Bushrangers were the most successful team during the tournament's running, winning the title four times.
The 2011–12 Big Bash League season is the inaugural season of the Big Bash League, the premier Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The tournament replaces the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, which was run every season from 2005–06 to 2010–11.
